"හන්තාන කදුවැටිය " මහනුවර දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ මහනුවර නගරයේ සිට ගලහ නගරය දක්වා පැතිර ඇති අතර මෙය මහනුවර නගරයට නිරිත දෙසින් පිහිටා ඇත . කදු පන්ති 7 කින් සමන්විත මෙම කදුවැටිය දෙස්විදෙස් සංචාරකයින් අතර මහත් ප්‍රසිද්ධයක් උසුලයි .එනිසාම මෙම කදු පන්තිය පිළිබඳව බොහෝ කවි,ගීතද ලියවී ඇත.

මෙම කදුවැටියේ උසම  කන්ද ඌරා කන්ද වන අතර හන්තාන කදුවැටිය මහවැලි ගඟේ ඉතාම වැදගත් ජල පෝෂක ප්‍රදේශයකි.මුහුදු මට්ටමේ සිට අඩි 3700 ක් පමණ උසැති මෙම කදු මුදුනට මහනුවර නගරය මුලුමනින්ම දැකගත හැක .තවද පසෙකින් ගලාබසින මහවැලි ගංගාවද අම්බුලුවාව , අලගල්ල ,බතලේගල ආදී කදුවැටිත් පහසුවෙන් දැකගන්නට පුලුවන.

වැඩි වෙහෙසකින් තොරව තරණය කළහැකි හන්තාන කදුපන්තියේ ඉහළට ලගාවීම සදහා මාර්ග කිහිපයක්ම පවතී .

මහනුවර රෝහල අසලින් දිවෙන උකුවෙල මාර්ගය ඔස්සේ ගොස් 4 කනුවෙන් ඉහළට ඇති මාර්ගය ඉන් එකකි.උඩුවෙල හෝ 5 කනුව බසයෙන් මහනුවර නගරයේ සිට 4 කනුවට පහසුවෙන් ලගාවිය හැක .
එසේත් නැතිනම් පේරාදෙණිය ගලහ පාර ඔස්සේ ගොස් පේරාදෙණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලය අසලින්ද හන්තාන තරණය කළහැක.බෝවලවත්ත සහ දෙල්තොට නගරවලින්ද හන්තාන ඉහළට මාර්ග පවතී.

මෙම මනස්කාන්ත පරිසරයට කිසිදු හානියක් නොකර ඔබත් මෙම මනරම් කදුවැටියේ අසිරිය විඳගැනීමට අමතක කරන්න එපා .

" Hanthana mountain range " which is lying from Kandy  to Galaha in Kandy district. This consists of 7 sub mountains and it's very popular as a both local and foreign destination. There are so many songs, poems and many stories have written around those mountains too.

The highest peak of this mountain range is Ura Kanda and Hanthana mountain range is one of the important  of catchment area Mahaweli river.

There are few routes to the peak of the Hanthana range with less effort to hike. 

From the 4 Kanuwa road which is in Ukuwela road that passing near the Kandy hospital  is one of those routes. You can take a Udawela or 5 Kanuwa bus for that. 

Or else it's easy to go from Peradeniya universirty from Galaha junction. And there are two routes from Bowatta and Delthota

The whole Kandy city can be watched from the peak which is around 3700 ft above from sea level. Other than that the river Mahaweli and the mountains like Ambuluwawa, Alagalla, Bathalegala also can be seen.
