පහත සිට බැලූ විට පිල් විහිදී මොණරෙකුගේ හැඩයක් ගන්නා බැවින් මෙම නම මෙයට ලැබී ඇත.
මහනුවර දිස්ත්රික්කයේ සිට 45km පමණ දුරින් පිහිටි මෙම කදු වැටිය තරණය සදහා මාර්ග කිහිපයක් පවතී . ඔබට කොත්මලේ පිහිටි මහවැලි මහා සෑය අසලින් ද එසේත් නැතිනම් දොරගල පිහිටි තේ කර්මාන්ත ශාලාව අසලින් ද මොණරගල ඉහළට ලගාවිය හැක.
මහනුවර ගම්පොල නගරයට පැමිණ එතැන් සිට දොරගල බසයකින් පහසුවෙන් තේ කර්මාන්ත ශාලාව අසලට පැමිණිය හැක .
එතැන්සිට එම මාර්ගය ඔස්සේ 2km පමණ ගියවිට ඔබට මුදුනට ලගාවිය හැකි අතර කදු මුදුනේ දුරකථන සංඥා කුලුණු කිහිපයක් ද දැකගත හැක.
මෙම කදු මුදුනට ගම්පොල , පුස්සැල්ලාව හා නාවලපිටිය යන නගරත් අම්බුලුවාව , කබරගල , අලගල්ල හා බතලේගල ආදි කදු වැටිත් පැහැදිලිව දැකගත හැක .
ඔබත් මෙම මනරම් කදුවැටියේ අසිරිය විඳගැනීමට අමතක කරන්න එපා.

Peacock Hill Mountain (" Monaragala " ) is one of the most beautiful mountain range in Pussellawa - Sri Lanka.
It gets its name from the fact that it looks like a peacock spreading its wings when viewed from bellow.
There are sevaral routes to climbe this mountain ( 45km from the city of Kandy) . You can reach the top of " Monoragala " near the Mahaweli Maha Seya in Kothmale or near the Tea factory in Doragala.
You can use the " Gampola - Doragala " bus service from Gampola town and easily reach the Doragala Tea factory.
From there you can reach the top of the mountain in about 2km . Travelers could see the beauty of Gampola Town, Pussellawa Town, Nawalapitiya Town, Ambuluwawe , Bible rock, Kabaragala and Alagalla mountain ranges clearly.
